Short answer, no. We treat plenty of adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s and older.
The most common thing we hear is "I had braces as a kid and my teeth moved back." That happens a lot, especially if the retainer ended up in a drawer somewhere.
What aligners can usually help with
- Crowding
- Gaps
- Teeth that shifted after braces
- Some bite issues
Some cases are better treated with other options, and we'll let you know honestly after we look.
What it's actually like day to day
You wear the trays most of the day and night, and take them out to eat and brush. The first couple days with each new set feel a bit tight. Most people get used to it fast. The biggest thing is just remembering to put them back in after lunch.
How long does it take?
It really depends on your teeth. Some people are done in several months, others take longer. We can give you a better idea after a scan.
Our office has been recognized as a Top Invisalign Dentist. If you're curious, come in for a consult. We'll do a digital scan and show you what your plan could look like.
